Does my bank have an MCP? DBS, OCBC, UOB, Revolut

Does my bank have an MCP? DBS, OCBC, UOB and Revolut in Singapore: how to connect your bank to ChatGPT and Claude without waiting for a bank-run MCP server.

DBS, OCBC and UOB do not offer a personal MCP server that connects your account to ChatGPT or Claude today. You do not have to wait for one: Era connects your bank through a link you approve and makes every account available to every assistant through a single connection.

What is an MCP server, and why are people asking if their bank has one?

An MCP server is the standard socket an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude uses to read data and call outside tools. People are asking about banks because in the US, Schwab already lets outside assistants check balances through its own MCP servers, but not move money, and Scalable Capital in Germany has said it opens its depot to assistants: the bank itself would open a controlled door to your assistant.

That is a good direction with a catch. One server per bank and one setup per assistant means a different configuration for every account and every tool. If you hold accounts at DBS, a second bank and Revolut, you would end up with three separate connections and nothing that sees them together. What is MCP covers the basics in plain words.

Do DBS, OCBC and UOB have an MCP server?

Not one that connects your personal account to ChatGPT or Claude, as far as anyone has published. DBS, OCBC and UOB each run strong apps with their own tools, and a bank-run assistant inside its app answers for the bank, about the bank's accounts only.

What you want is the reverse: an assistant that answers for you, with all your numbers across DBS, OCBC, UOB, Revolut and anywhere else you hold money. That is why the fastest route is a hub that reads every account together, rather than waiting for each bank to ship its own server and for your assistant to support each one.

How do I connect my bank to ChatGPT or Claude without a bank MCP?

Use Era. You connect your bank, approve access in the bank's own app or login, and add Era as an MCP server in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. The assistant reads balances and transactions from Era and never receives your banking password.

Era connects accounts across the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and 40+ countries in all. Your bank does not have to do anything. If an account does not link directly, you import its statement: the Document Library reads the file and creates the transactions in a manual account that sits alongside the rest. Full steps are in how to connect ChatGPT to your bank account and how to connect Claude to your bank account.

Can I connect Revolut in Singapore as well as DBS and OCBC?

Yes, you can bring Revolut into the same picture as your local banks. Revolut is one of the most searched names in Singapore, and many people keep it next to a DBS or OCBC account for travel and foreign currency, so it makes sense to see them together.

Ask your assistant "how much did I spend abroad this month across all my accounts?" and the answer covers the lot. The same goes for UOB cards, a Wise balance or anything else you add, whether it links directly or comes in as a statement.

What does one hub give me that a bank's own MCP cannot?

A hub gives you three things that a single bank cannot. It sees all your accounts at once, it works with every assistant you like, and it keeps your memory, so changing from ChatGPT to Claude does not mean starting again.

In practice you can ask Claude how your financial health looks this month and get the figures with the analysis behind them. You can open a shared space with a partner for household costs, and add payslips and tax forms to the Document Library. Can AI agents share financial memory explains the memory side.

How do I start, and how much control do I keep?

Create an account at era.app, connect your bank, and add https://context.era.app as an MCP server in your assistant. Then approve the consent screen. Nothing connects without your yes, and you can disconnect an assistant or a bank whenever you like.

Sign up at era.app; it takes a few minutes.

Every action the assistant takes appears in the activity log, your data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and Era does not store your bank credentials. No provider trains on your data.
